For the money, this was a great place to go and get away from the city and enjoy peace and quiet.
I just got back from enjoying Mean Arlene's with my best friend. The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the small town of Boulder Junction. We walked to the many shops and ate at the restaurants. The backyard has a fire pit and a huge pile of firewood to burn. There were deer to be seen and many red squirrels. The cabin is nicely decorated and cozy. Plenty of space for 4 people or more.
We definitely will make this a yearly tradition!
Once again we had a great time at Mean Arlene's! The cottage has all the comforts of home and more! Conveniently located just around the corner from town and about 2 blocks away from the snowmobile trail. There is a 2-car garage to use and a large driveway that makes it convenient to park a trailer. The deer that pass through make for great entertainment! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy the Northwoods!
First time staying at Mean Arlene's and we absolutely loved our stay. We were up for a four day stay to celebrate my husband's birthday and to snowmobile w/our son and his friend. We all had a great time and are looking forward to staying here again sometime soon. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The deer were a must-see - we had 19 in the back yard one day and saw 4 bucks, pretty sure one was a 10-pointer!! They provide everything you may need while you are away - clean, comfortable, a very cozy cabin.
We had a great stay at Mean Arlene’s! The cabin was beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home! Great fire pit with plenty of firewood to use! Plenty of deer to watch in the morning and evening! We didn’t to leave! Staying here will be a tradition for us, made great memories!!
