First visit to Headwaters Restaurant - nice visit with owner Terry, his reputation preceeds him from his ownership and history at the Sky Club in Plover, WI - one my favorites. It was kind of quiet the day we stopped, with a few locals enjoying a beer at the bar. Our server was a little overwhelmed as she was the only one covering the dining area - she did a great job getting our sandwiches out fast and staying attentive even though a few other diners were getting restless. Thank Terry, enjoyed talking "shop" with you and Richard Van Order, the artist who captured the spirit of Porter Dean. Stop by and visit the Headwaters when you're in Boulder Junction, I'd be interested in hearing how you liked it.

We asked a question and were snapped at. We decided to get up and leave. Very unprofessional/unfriendly restaurant. Go support a different establishment.

Headwaters is the best place to eat in the northoods and great service , had the baked Hancock and my sister had the parmesan crusted scallops... the are all to live for , finished off with key lime pie .

This was our first visit to Headwaters restaurant. It has a great location nice views and friendly staff. But that's going to be the end of my compliments.

Good

The restaurant needs work. The floors and entrance stairway are uneven and a trip Hazard. The layout is ridiculous the flow is poor. They were out of the popular tap beers on a Packer game day.. Let's see what else the burger my wife had the waitress never asked her how she wanted it cooked so they burnt it. It was all beef and should have had a percentage blend of perhaps a little pork because it was dry, tough and lacking taste... sad. The waitress recommended the walleye with parmesan crust. It was delicious but I ran into two big bones. I didn't appreciate that. I had to ask for butter for my baked potato and ask for tartar none of this was offered or considered by the waitress. When she offered the walleye she neglected to tell me it was $23 by itself. That was pricey and kind of ridiculous to not tell your guests that.

I would not recommend this restaurant especially for the elderly who may trip and fall on uneven floors.

Walked in and was treated rudely by the staff. We were given menus and was told it would be a while before he could get to us.

Headwaters I would appreciate a reply. I feel you have work to do.
